Turkish Treasury Minister Concludes Talks with Investors in New York

Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek concluded his talks with leading investors from major global investment institutions in New York City.

According to information from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance on Sunday, Minister Şimşek returned to Turkey after completing his meetings in New York, following a stop in London.

During his talks in New York on Thursday and Friday, Şimşek held 15 meetings with more than 300 investors representing leading global investment institutions with a combined balance sheet of approximately $30 trillion.

The meetings in New York included a detailed presentation to investors on the latest developments in the macroeconomic stabilization program, reforms, the path to reducing inflation, and medium-term forecasts, in addition to extensive question-and-answer sessions.

During his programs in London and New York, Şimşek met with more than 800 leading global institutional investors who manage assets estimated at around $88 trillion. These meetings showed that investor interest in the Turkish economy is strong and continues to grow.
