Turkish Airlines has become the first airline in the world to sponsor the UEFA Champions League soccer tournament, whose final match will be held in Istanbul in 2023.

The company said in a statement on Monday that it has become the official sponsor of the European Champions League, which is considered one of the most watched sporting events in the world.
She pointed out that this sponsorship contract is important, especially that the final match of the tournament will be held at the “Ataturk Olympic Stadium” in Istanbul on June 10 next year.

The statement indicated that the sponsorship announcement took place at the Gulf Convention Center in Istanbul, with the participation of Turkish Airlines Chairman Ahmet Polat and senior company officials, in addition to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and Federation Marketing Director Guy-Laurent Epstein.
