Official data showed Thursday that the consumer price index (inflation) in Turkey rose 7.25 percent last April on a monthly basis, to reach 69.97 percent on an annual basis.

According to data from the Turkish Statistics Authority, the producer price index rose in April by 7.67 percent on a monthly basis, while it reached 121.82 percent on an annual basis.
Consumer prices increased by 34.46 percent and producer prices by 72.03 percent, as of April, compared to the rates of the last 12 months.
