He pointed out that the defense industry company “ASELSAN”, the Turkish Aerospace Industries Corporation “TUSAŞ”, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and the Turkish company “CTech” participated in the manufacture of the Turksat 6A satellite.

The minister confirmed that the Turkish satellite will enter service in the first quarter of 2025 after completing the tests.

He explained that with the entry of the Turksat 6A satellite into service, the services of the aforementioned satellite and other Turkish satellites will reach more than 5 billion people in the world, up from 3.5 billion people, and thus Turkey will be able to reach more than 65% of the world’s population through its own communication satellites.

The Turkish satellite “Turksat A6” began its journey into space on July 9 by being launched via a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Base in Florida, USA.

Turksat 6A was built more than 80 percent locally by Turkish engineers at the “USET” company, which is affiliated with the Turkish Aerospace Industries.
