The Turkish Red Crescent Society sent 1,200 food parcels to the city of Jenin in the West Bank, in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent.

In a statement on Saturday, the Turkish Red Crescent said it continues to do its utmost to send food aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where they are struggling to cope with famine due to the Israeli blockade.

It added that it is also continuing to send aid to those in need in the West Bank.

It explained that, despite all the difficulties, it was able to deliver 1,200 food parcels to the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Since the beginning of the genocide on October 7, 2023, Israel has been simultaneously committing a starvation crime against the Palestinians of Gaza.

It intensified its measures on March 2 by closing all crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing famine to spread and reach “catastrophic” levels. The genocide in Gaza left approximately 208,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed many lives.
