Turkey’s exports rose 13.8 percent in July compared to the previous month, reaching $22 billion and 510 million.
This was reported by foreign trade data for July, which was released on Wednesday and prepared by the Ministry of Trade and the Statistical Institute.
The data showed that imports decreased by 7.8 percent in July compared to the previous month, recording $29 billion and 805 million.
Thus, the foreign trade deficit decreased by 41.8 percent in July compared to the same month in 2023, reaching $7 billion and 295 million.
Between January and July 2024, Turkish exports increased by 4.1 percent, recording $148 billion and 738 million.
Imports decreased by 8.3 percent during the same period to $198 billion and 676 million.
Germany topped the list of countries importing from Turkey during July, with a value of $1.752 billion, followed by the United Kingdom with $1.604 billion, then the United States with $1.441 billion.
