Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin a number of bilateral and regional files by phone.
The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the two ministers discussed files related to NATO, bilateral relations and regional issues.

The ministry stated that Akar and Austin exchanged information and views on defense and security issues, foremost of which are developments in Ukraine, the fight against terrorism, and Turkey’s supply of F-16 fighters.
