Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that the two sides discussed the issue of securing the return of two Turkish military cargo planes “A400M” and Turkish commercial ships to the ports of Ukraine.
In the phone call, Akar also stressed the urgent need to declare a ceasefire in Ukraine with the Russian side.
He also stressed that Turkey will fulfill its duty to establish peace and deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Last March, Akar announced that two A400M planes were still present at Boryspol airport in Ukraine, after they flew there for the purposes of humanitarian assistance and the evacuation of Turkish citizens on February 24.
