Turkey’s exports rise 30 percent in September

Turkish exports increased last September by 30% compared to the same month last year, reaching 20 billion and 780 million dollars.

Data published by the Statistics Authority and the Turkish Ministry of Trade on Wednesday showed that imports rose by 11.9 percent, reaching 23 billion and 328 million dollars.

According to the data, the foreign trade deficit decreased in September by 47.5 percent and amounted to two billion and 547 million dollars.

In terms of the first 9 months of 2021, exports increased by 35.9 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to $160 billion and 951 million.

As for imports, they amounted to 193 billion and 301 million dollars during the same period, recording an increase of 23.7 percent.

The foreign trade deficit between January and September decreased by 14.6 percent, reaching 32 billion and 351 million dollars.
