The Turkish authorities seized 200 ancient coins believed to date back to the Roman era, during a security operation in Konya, in the center of the country.
On Wednesday, teams affiliated with the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch raided a house as part of an operation to prevent the smuggling of antiquities.
He explained that the teams seized 200 coins and 10 artifacts believed to date back to the Roman era.
He stated that the teams arrested a person as part of the operation, on charges of violating the Law for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets.
