Turkey announced raising the additional customs tax on electric car imports from 10 to 20 percent.

This came according to a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette on Thursday.
The decision is scheduled to enter into force 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Last week, the Turkish group of manufacturers of the domestic electric car “TOGG” announced the start of preparations for trial production.

The group said in a statement that the “TOGG” car factory will be ready for serial production during the last quarter of this year.
