The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday offered its condolences to the Afghan people for the victims of the earthquake that hit the western part of the country on Monday.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its grief over the casualties in the earthquake, affirming its support for the Afghan people.
“We offer our condolences to the brotherly Afghan people, led by the families of the victims, and we wish a speedy recovery to the wounded, and Turkey is always ready to provide humanitarian support,” the statement said.
On Monday, the US Geological Survey recorded two earthquakes in Badghis (west).
The first with a force of 5.3 degrees occurred at 2 pm Afghan time, and the second with a strength of 4.9 degrees occurred at 4 pm.

And local media reported that at least 26 people were killed as a result of the earthquake.
