Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced on Saturday that the ban on access to Instagram has been lifted after the platform met Turkey’s demands regarding the crime list.
In a post on the X platform, Uraloğlu said: “As a result of our negotiations with Instagram officials, our demands will be met, especially within the framework of the crime list, and they promised to work together on the control imposed on users, and we will remove the access ban as of 21:30 local time (18:30 GMT).”
Uraloğlu pointed out that Turkey banned access to the social media platform Instagram on August 2 due to the platform’s failure to respond to Turkey’s demands regarding the crime list.
