Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that it is planned to launch the national satellite “Türksat 6A” into space in the second week of next July.
This came in press statements on Saturday regarding the latest status of the “Türksat 6A” satellite at the Space Systems Integration and Testing Center in Ankara.
Kacır pointed out that “Türksat 6A” is the first locally manufactured communications satellite, noting that all the important subsystems of the satellite were developed locally.
He said: “We are preparing to send our satellite into space in the week beginning July 8,” noting that the launch will take place in cooperation with the American company “SpaceX.”
