Turkey’s hazelnut exports have reached $1.9 billion in the past 11 months.

This came according to data from the Federation of Exporters of Hazelnuts and Hazelnut Products in the Black Sea Region of Turkey.
The quantity of hazelnuts exported during the period between September 1, 2021 and last July 31, amounted to 322,592 tons.
The revenues of the exported hazelnuts during the mentioned period amounted to one billion and 895 million and 697 thousand and 602 dollars.

Turkey produces about 75 percent of the total global production of hazelnuts, and about 60 percent of it is produced in the states of Ordu, Rize, Giresun, Trabzon and Artwin, all on the Black Sea.
