The number of cars manufactured in the state of Bursa, northwestern Turkey, reached 263,100 vehicles in the first half of 2024.
According to information from the Bursa Automobile Manufacturers Union, the total production of member companies in the union between January and June reached 733,559 vehicles, including tractors.
Bursa’s contribution to the total automobile industry in Turkey was 35.86 percent.
The state, which produces more than a third of the cars manufactured in Turkey, played an important role in exports by supplying 137,545 cars, or 52.27 percent of its industries, in the first half of this year.
Bursa’s share of Turkey’s total car exports reached 27.40 percent.
