On Tuesday, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced that a PKK terrorist had been listed on the wanted red notice, and had surrendered to the security forces through persuasion.

The ministry said in a statement that the aforementioned terrorist surrendered to the security forces as a result of persuasion efforts made by the Security Directorate and the Gendarmerie Command in cooperation with the Turkish intelligence.
It added that the terrorist joined the organization in 2014, and participated in its activities inside Turkey and Iraq.
It added that the terrorist is listed on the Red Notice for Most Wanted by the International Police “Interpol”.

The number of terrorists who surrendered to security through persuasion has increased since the beginning of this year to 197.
