Turkey.. 8 new grain ships sail from Ukraine

Turkey announced on Wednesday the departure of 8 cargo ships from Ukrainian ports as part of the Istanbul agreement to transport grain.

The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement: “8 new ships sailed from Ukrainian ports in the context of grain shipment on Wednesday morning.”

On July 22, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations signed the “Initiative Document for the Safe Shipping of Grain and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian Ports” during a meeting hosted by Istanbul.

The agreement, which was under the auspices of Turkey and the United Nations, included securing exports of grain stuck in the Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea (Eastern Europe) to the world.
