Last April, Turkey recorded the sale of 6,477 housing units to foreigners throughout the country.

According to figures announced by the Turkish Statistics Authority on Tuesday, the volume of real estate sales to foreigners increased by 58.1 percent in April, compared to the same month last year.
The figures reveal that Russian citizens topped the list of real estate purchases with 1,152 housing units in April, followed by Iranians with 905 and Iraqis with 714.
Across Turkey, 133,058 housing units were sold in the same month.
The volume of real estate sales across Turkey decreased by 38.8 percent in April, compared to the same month last year.

Istanbul recorded the largest number of real estate sales to foreigners in April with 2,564 housing units, then Antalya 1970 and Ankara 333.
