Turkish security forces arrested 29 irregular migrants in the eastern state of Bitlis.

On Monday, the state’s statement said the gendarmerie arrested 29 irregular migrants for entering the country illegally.
It added that the forces carried out an operation after receiving reports that there were two smugglers with two vehicles to transport irregular migrants in the village of “Sarikonak”.
It explained that 23 of the migrants hold Afghan citizenship, while the rest hold Pakistani citizenship.
The statement indicated that the smugglers were arrested for their involvement in the smuggling of the aforementioned number.

After taking the necessary security measures against the migrants, they were handed over to the state’s Directorate of Immigration.
