Trucks with giant digital screens roamed the main streets of New York City, displaying Turkey’s calls for reforming the United Nations.

This comes in coordination with the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency, coinciding with the influx of a large number of visitors from all over the world to New York due to the UN General Assembly meetings.

The trucks roamed the most crowded streets of New York, bearing slogans such as: “Beyond Five: Building a World Order for All”, “A World Order Beyond Five: A More Just Future for All”, “A Reformed United Nations for a More Just World”, and “Turkey: A Partner in Humanitarian Aid and Sustainable Development”.

It is worth noting that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan first made his famous statement in 2013, “The World is Bigger than Five”, referring to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, indicating that these five countries have rendered the role of the United Nations ineffective.

The 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly kicked off in New York on Tuesday, with the participation of a large number of world leaders.
