On the personal order of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, a “MiG-29” fighter on Sunday intercepted a Ryanair plane.

It was in Belarusian airspace during a regular flight between Athens and Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.

As soon as the plane landed at Minsk airport, security forces arrested Roman Protasevic, a journalist accused by the authorities of “being involved in terrorist activities.”

The sources explained that the session will be held under the title “Other Items” after the end of a session of the Council that was previously dedicated to discussing developments in the Syrian crisis.
