The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has issued a speed warning for drivers using the Sultan Selim I Bridge due to strong winds, while the Istanbul Governorate has warned citizens of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Ministry stated that average wind speeds exceed 80 kilometers per hour and can sometimes reach 90 kilometers per hour, with the winds expected to intensify overnight.

Therefore, necessary precautions have been taken, and drivers have been advised via Variable Message Signs (VMS) to reduce their speed to 60 kilometers per hour.

Drivers using the bridge are also urged to exercise caution and strictly adhere to traffic regulations.
