
The Turkish Air Force’s Soluturk team conducted a test flight ahead of a parade in Istanbul to mark the 572nd anniversary of the conquest of Constantinople.
The test flight lasted approximately 20 minutes, during which an F-16 aircraft flew and performed aerobatic maneuvers.
Soluturk is scheduled to perform the official parade on Thursday, May 29, at 7:00 PM (GMT+3), as part of the 572nd anniversary of the conquest of Constantinople (present-day Istanbul).
On May 29, 1453, Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror conquered Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, in an event historians consider the beginning of a modern era.
