The first of its kind in the world, the Seoul Museum of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, designed by Turkish architect Melike Altınışık, opened in the South Korean capital on Wednesday.
The museum is expected to receive about 500 people daily and provides an opportunity to follow the latest developments in the field of technology and artificial intelligence.
The museum displays self-driving cars and the latest robotics and artificial intelligence technologies produced by many famous companies and universities around the world.
Altınışık, who won first place in the museum design competition among 47 candidates, said that 177 teams participated in the museum design competition.
She added that the museum design she developed was selected among the best five designs, and that her project was announced the winner after the projects were presented to the jury in 2019.
She explained that the goal of the design was to create a unique architectural style based on design methodologies and create an inspiring world for robots and artificial intelligence technologies.
The Turkish architect added that she received offers to implement many projects in South Korea after her success in the museum project.
