The Rize Governor’s Office announced that citizens should be cautious of the sudden rise in river water levels due to rainfall.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Office, the latest information from the State Hydraulic Works Authority (DSI) indicates that heavy rainfall is affecting the city’s upper elevations.
The statement indicated that heavy rainfall may cause a sudden rise in river water levels and stated:
“We strongly urge all citizens living or working in riverbeds and nearby residential areas to exercise caution and precaution to protect their lives and property.”
