Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed the need to prevent Israeli disinformation efforts in the Gaza Strip.
This came in a video message he sent to the meeting of information ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Istanbul on Saturday.
Erdogan pointed out that the number of media professionals killed by Israel in the Gaza Strip in order to silence the free press exceeded 100.
He also said: “To date, about 30,000 of our Palestinian brothers have been brutally martyred and about 70,000 have been injured.”
He added: “One of our most important duties is to shed light on the barbarism practiced against our brothers in Gaza and prevent Israeli misinformation efforts.”
