Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed his Indonesian counterpart, Prabowo Subianto, at Esenboğa Airport in the capital, Ankara, on Wednesday.
President Erdoğan was accompanied by Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, President of the Presidency of the Turkish Defense Industries (SSB), Haluk Gürgün, and other officials upon his arrival.
The Indonesian president greeted the honor guard with the words “Marhaba Askar” (Welcome, Askar) in Turkish. It was reported that several major squares in Ankara were decorated with welcome banners to celebrate the Indonesian president’s visit.
