The “Yunus Emre” Turkish Cultural Institute has launched face-to-face Turkish language courses in Mexico, in addition to its courses held remotely via the virtual medium.

On this occasion, a ceremony was held at the Yunus Emre Center in the Mexican capital.
In a speech during the ceremony, Turkish Ambassador to Mexico Ilhan Kemal Tug said that the activities of the Yunus Emre Institute are an indication of the importance given to relations between the two countries.
He expressed his happiness at the close acquaintance of the Mexican people with the Turkish language and culture.
In turn, the coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute in Mexico, Salih Gultekin, said that their launch of Turkish language courses came based on the increasing demand from Mexicans.
He added that with this, Turkey will launch for the first time official courses to teach its language in Mexico.

The ceremony also included the presentation of Turkish food to the Mexican students participating in the course.
About 2,500 Mexicans continue to learn the Turkish language through Yunus Emre virtual courses.
