Exports from the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş to Syria reached $36 million in 2025, according to Mustafa Bulentu, head of the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Bulentu stated that the province exports a variety of products to Syria, primarily stainless steel kitchenware and raw textile materials.

He emphasized the significant importance of the Syrian market to Kahramanmaraş’s economy and explained that they organized economic meetings with chambers of commerce operating in Syria in 2025, particularly in Aleppo, Idlib, and Damascus, to develop trade.

Bulentu stressed that the business sector experienced rapid growth following the regime change in Syria, explaining, “Thanks to the swift action of our businesspeople regarding Syria, our city achieved a significant level of exports relative to its size.

While our exports to Syria amounted to $12 million in 2024, they reached $36 million in 2025.” He noted that they exported 35 different products to Syria, adding, “Our city sends four out of every five stainless steel kitchen utensils used in Syria.”

Pulonto confirmed that they aim to increase the state’s exports to Syria during 2026.
