On Wednesday, the Istanbul Stock Exchange index recorded the highest weekly closing ever, after gaining during the day by 0.02 percent to reach 4,360.96 points.

The index rose by 0.67 points compared to the previous close, while the total volume of transactions amounted to 109 billion pounds (about 5.86 billion dollars).
The banking sector index rose by 1.17 percent, while the holding companies index rose by 1.34 percent.

The telecommunications sector index was the most profitable by 8.11 percent, while the trade sector was the lowest by 3.43%.
