Turkish Travel Agencies Association President Firuz Bağlıkaya said that Istanbul Airport, which provides transportation to more than 300 destinations in the world, has a major role in increasing the diversity of our markets and achieving tourism growth goals.
He added that one of the most important advantages of the tourism sector is the ease of movement.
He continued: “Turkey is located in a very special location where 1.5 billion people can be reached in just 4 to 5 hours of flight, and the factor that strengthens this strategic location of the country in the geographical sense is infrastructure investments.”
Bağlıkaya pointed out that the operation of Istanbul International Airport has contributed to activating very important growth potential in the tourism sector.
He stressed that after the completion of all phases of the airport, the number of passengers traveling through it will reach 200 million passengers annually, and Istanbul Airport will play an important role in the goals of tourism growth.
Bağlıkaya stated that travel agencies bring tourists to Turkey through their successful promotional activities around the world.
He added: “Istanbul Airport, which allows travel to more than 300 destinations, and our airlines and travel agencies have a great role in increasing the diversity of the market.”
