Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Oraloğlu said on Saturday that Istanbul Airport maintained its lead in Europe with an average of 1488 flights per day.
This came in a statement he made commenting on the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) report on European aviation.
Oraloğlu explained that Istanbul Airport is the busiest in Europe with an average of 1488 flights per day.
He added that Istanbul Airport maintained its lead in Europe, leaving behind prominent airports such as Amsterdam, Paris and London.
Oraloğlu stated that Antalya Airport in southern Turkey ranked tenth on the same list with an average of 949 flights per day.
