Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed the need for all Palestinians to work together against Israeli expansionist policies.

And that was during his meeting on Thursday with Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, Jibril Rajoub, in the capital Ankara.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a post via X that Fidan stressed to the Palestinian official “the need for all Palestinian factions to meet and reach an agreement without delay.”

Fidan called on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to lead this process, stressing the need for all Palestinians to work together against Israeli expansionist policies.

With American support, Israel launched a war on the Gaza Strip between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025.

This resulted in more than 160,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing, according to Palestinian data.
