The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has completed its work on the reform service related to the reliable preparation of rental contracts via the e-government portal and the service will be available to tenants and homeowners soon.

The work on regulating these contracts through e-government has started based on citizens’ requests to resolve disputes in this regard.

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Presidential Office for Digital Transformation have provided support to the Ministry in the reform work.

According to the Ministry’s study, this service will be provided via the e-government portal under the title “Lease Contract Transactions” and will be activated in two stages.

The contracts will be created as “encrypted documents”

In the first stage, which will be available to citizens in a short time, the contract prepared by the real person who owns the property via the e-government portal will be approved by the tenant via e-government.

The second stage of the service will be available by the end of the year, so that real estate consultants and licensed persons will be able to prepare the contract and submit it for approval by the property owner and tenant.

With this service, rental agreements will be created in the form of time-stamped “encrypted documents” and the documents can be verified.

“Turkey’s Real Estate Value Map” will be created.

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek pointed out that this service will benefit all segments of society and said:

“With the e-government portal, our citizens will be able to carry out rental contract transactions quickly, easily and reliably regardless of location and without the cost of time and documents. The application will give citizens the opportunity to create contracts in a reliable manner. Our citizens will also be relieved of the burden of submitting rental contracts to bureaucratic institutions. “In addition, data will be provided for the creation of Turkey’s Real Estate Value Map.”
