Turkey participates on a large scale in the “International Defense Conference”, which kicked off Sunday in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
Turkey is represented at the conference by the Presidency of Defense Industries affiliated to the Presidency of the Republic, along with the Defense and Aerospace Industries Exporters Association and representatives of more than 50 leading companies in the field.
During the event, many unmanned land and air vehicles, armored vehicle platforms, weapon systems, electronic systems, ammunition, simulators, and logistical support products produced by Turkish defense industries companies will be presented to all participants.
Yesterday, Sunday, the International Defense Conference was launched in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, to discuss the risks of technological transformation and the future of defense operations.

And the official Emirates News Agency reported that the activities of the International Defense Conference were launched under the auspices of the country’s President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It indicated that “a wide spectrum of leaders and officials, representing defense, security, academic and corporate entities in the region and the world, participated in the conference.”
This year, the conference attracts “more than 1,800 participants, with a growth rate of more than 25 percent compared to the previous session,” according to the agency.
The conference’s activities include 4 discussion sessions “dealing with the economic and social consequences and risks of relying on modern technologies and their impact on the future of defense operations.”
More than 17 speakers, including leaders, ministers and senior officials in the defense sector from different countries of the world, will participate in the sessions, according to the agency.
The last edition of the International Defense Conference was held in 2021 and brought together 24 global experts, more than 400 physical participants and 2,400 online participants from 80 countries.
The International Defense Conference will continue for one day, prior to the launch of the exhibitions “IDEX 2023” and the Maritime Defense Exhibition “NAVDEX 2023” on Monday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center until February 24.
The current edition of the “IDEX and NAVDEX 2023” exhibitions coincides with the 30th anniversary of the launch of their first session in 1993, according to the UAE agency.
