Express Tourist Train opens its new season

The Express Tourist Train set off on Wednesday evening from the eastern Turkish province of Kars to the capital Ankara (central) on its first trip of the new season.

The tourist train consists of restaurant and lodging trailers, and allows passengers to see important historical and cultural cities on the line between the two provinces.

The journey between the two cities lasts approximately 30 hours after covering a distance of 1,300 kilometers passing through five provinces (Kırıkkale, Kayseri, Sivas, Erzincan and Erzurum).

Ozan Baykara, who came from the southwestern province of Muğla, expressed his pleasure and enthusiasm for this “unique experience.”

Baykara said: “I recommend this trip to every tourist, Kars should be a destination for every tourist.”

For her part, Kirtsey King, who came from Britain, said that it was the first time she had visited Kars after hearing about the city and the The Express Tourist Train from social media.

It is worth noting that the tourist “The Express Tourist Train” set off on its first trip between the two Turkish states on May 29, 2019.

This season’s trips from Kars to Ankara will continue until March 2, 2025, and from Ankara to Kars until February 28, 2025, at a rate of 3 trips per week in each direction.
