On Thursday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in a ceremony to appoint 20,000 new teachers across the country.
The ceremony was held at the Cultural and Conference Center in the Presidential Complex in the capital, Ankara.

In a speech during the ceremony, the Turkish President indicated that the total number of teachers in the country had risen from 526,000 in 2002 to nearly one million and 10 thousand with the appointment of new teachers.
