Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered his condolences to citizen Rabia Birden Aygi, the mother of Turkish-American activist Aisha Noor Azgi Aygi, who was killed by Israeli bullets in the West Bank.

According to informed sources, President Erdogan made a phone call to Ms. Rabia Birden Aygi on Saturday.

During the call, Erdogan offered his condolences to the mother over the killing of her daughter Aisha Noor, who was killed by an Israeli sniper.

On Friday, the Israeli army killed activist Aisha Noor with live bullets while participating in an event denouncing settlements in the town of Beita in the Nablus Governorate in the northern West Bank.

The director of Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, Fuad Nafaa, said that Aisha Noor arrived at the hospital with a bullet wound to the head, where she was “resuscitated but was martyred.”

Aisha Noor worked in some food companies in addition to a law firm, and volunteered in the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), which supported Palestinians in peaceful and civil ways against Israel’s occupation of their lands.

American citizen Rachel Corrie, who was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer in 2003, belonged to the same movement.
