Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Wednesday with the head of the people’s interests in the Turkmenistan parliament, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
This came on the sidelines of his visit to Turkmenistan to participate in the first tripartite summit between the leaders of Turkey and Azerbaijan (President Ilham Aliyev) and Turkmenistan (Sardar Berdimuhamedov).
Erdogan received at the “Awaza” conference center in the city of Turkmenbashi, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Berdy Matiev and the Turkish ambassador in Ashgabat Togan Ural.

Erdogan began his meetings prior to the start of the tripartite summit with a meeting with the head of the people’s interests in the Turkmenistan parliament, former President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
On Tuesday evening, President Erdogan arrived in the city of Turkmenbashi, upon the invitation of his Turkmenistan counterpart to attend the aforementioned tripartite summit.
Erdogan is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his Turkmenistan and Azerbaijani counterparts, as well as meetings at the delegation level within the framework of the summit.
