Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that he will discuss stopping the bloodshed in the Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, with all the leaders he will meet at the United Nations.

This came in a press conference he held at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul before heading to the United States to participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

President Erdogan called on the international community, especially Western countries, to stop watching Israel’s criminal acts and to take deterrent steps.

He added: “I will discuss stopping the bloodshed in the Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, with all the leaders I will meet at the United Nations.”

He continued, “We will continue our efforts to do what we can to confront the storm of death that global Zionism is sweeping the Middle East.”
