Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, attended the Turkey-Africa Business and Economic Forum (TABEF), hosted by the Ministry of Trade, coordinated by the African Union, and organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) at the Istanbul Congress Center.

In her opening remarks at the “Women’s Leadership and Entrepreneurship Dialogue Session,” Erdoğan expressed her hope that this session, which will feature many inspiring experiences and where participants will benefit from each other’s energy and visions, will lead to new and stronger collaborations.

Erdoğan pointed out that entrepreneurs are those who can build their dreams and shape their lives with their ideas, saying: “When entrepreneurs are women, this spirit reaches its peak.

Because women entrepreneurs dream not only for themselves, but also for their families, their communities, and even for all of humanity. They envision a prosperous and peaceful future in their dreams.Their imaginations carry kindness, compassion, and empathy.”

Erdoğan also emphasized that war, genocide, climate change, and poverty continue to top the global agenda, saying, “The world truly needs a new story, and I personally believe that this story will be written by women.

Every day, a woman turns a brilliant idea into reality somewhere in the world. These ideas, like snowdrops blooming in the snow, instill hope in humanity even in the most difficult circumstances.

They create solutions to global problems and promote a culture of peace because women possess innate leadership qualities. Generations are nurtured by them and through them they shape the future. Therefore, when they participate in economic life, they contribute not only to their own advancement but also to the advancement of their societies.”
