Antalya aims to receive more than 18 million tourists

The tourism sector in the Turkish province of Antalya, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, aims to set a new record for the number of tourists in 2025, exceeding the threshold of 18 million tourists.

According to data from the Directorate of Culture and Tourism in Antalya, the province recorded a record number of tourists in 2024, with 17 million, 278 thousand, and 103 tourists.

This record number led to optimism in the tourism sector for the current year.

The head of the “Professional Association of Hotel Managers” Hakan Saatcıoğlu said that Antalya is a “tourism brand” worldwide.

He stressed that tourism occupies an important position in the national economy, and that Antalya is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Turkey.

He added that they achieved the goal of receiving more than 17 million tourists last year.

He expected the number of tourists in Antalya this year to reach about 18.5 million tourists.

In turn, the head of the Mediterranean Hotel Operators and Managers Association, Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, said that they had a “wonderful” tourist season last year.

He expressed his happiness at achieving the goal of receiving 17 million tourists in 2024, and pointed out that they aim to receive more than 18 million tourists during the current year.

According to data from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Russian citizens topped the list of foreign tourists who came to Antalya last year with 3.9 million tourists, followed by Germans with about 3.5 million, then the British with about 1.5 million tourists.
