AKP Spokesperson Çelik made the following statement: “The leadership of CHP Leader Özgür Özel is a conventional one. Most of Özgür Özel’s statements are a copycat of the European far right.”
Ömer Çelik said: In a statement posted on his account, Özgür Özel addressed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying, “You are not a world leader, you are a local dictator.”
Çelik explained that the first and most frequent use of this expression against President Erdoğan were European fascists, and noted the following:
“It is unfortunate that someone who was not even a local leader, let alone a world leader, would speak about the leadership of our president.
