The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a telegram of condolences to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in Niger and Mali.
In a written statement from the Ministry, it reported with deep sadness that 29 members of the Nigerian Security Force were killed.

This is in the terrorist attack on the base assigned to the G5 Sahel Joint Force in the Tira/Tillabéri region on the Mali border.
In the statement, “We strongly condemn this heinous act of terrorism, and offer our deepest condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives in the attack and to the friendly and brotherly people and government of Niger.”
And media from Niger announced that the headquarters of the G5 Sahel Force, located in the Tira site in the Tillaberi region, was attacked by unknown armed men yesterday.
According to initial reports, 29 soldiers were killed in the attack, and 79 terrorists were killed in the ensuing conflict.

In a written statement to the Ministry, it stated with great sadness that more than 30 people lost their lives and 18 others were injured in the terrorist attack on a passenger bus in Bandiagara district yesterday.
In the statement, “We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist act, and offer our sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this attack, and to the two friendly and brotherly Malian people and government, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
