Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu issued a statement regarding the Balikesir earthquake, which he posted on social media. Minister Memişoğlu said:
“Among those injured by the earthquake that struck Balikesir and was felt in neighboring provinces, four people are currently receiving treatment in our hospitals. Their health condition is not critical.
Our teams continue their field work, and we are closely monitoring the situation with all relevant authorities. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and to all our citizens.”
