
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday. Turkish diplomatic sources reported that Putin received Fidan, who is visiting Russia at the invitation of his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
The sources stated that the meeting between Putin and Fidan began at 7:30 PM local time (GMT+3).
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan met with Vladimir Medinsky, advisor to the Russian president, in Moscow.
On Saturday, Turkish Foreign Ministry sources reported that Fidan will visit Russia on Monday for a two-day visit at the invitation of his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
On May 15 and 16, Istanbul hosted peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, which culminated in an agreement to exchange 2,000 prisoners between the two countries.
