
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with the Chairman of the Hamas Leadership Council, Mohammed Darwish, and members of the Hamas Political Bureau in Ankara.
According to Foreign Ministry sources, reports indicated that efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza were discussed during the meeting.
He pointed out that Israel seeks to condemn the Palestinian people to starvation by preventing humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, and that the international community needs to make more intensive efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the region.
He emphasized that efforts to expel Palestinians from their homeland are unacceptable.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the West Bank, and he noted that the steps taken by Israel to perpetuate the occupation have reached dimensions that threaten regional peace.

Foreign Minister Fidan emphasized the importance of unity among Palestinian factions and stated that Turkey is ready to make every contribution to efforts in this direction.
