
Another 29 suspects who were detained as part of Operation Narco Kapan-Ankara have been arrested, according to a statement from the Western Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office.
As part of the investigation into drug trafficking, simultaneous operations were conducted in four provinces, centered in Ankara, starting on April 17.
As a result of the work of the Anti-Narcotics Crime Teams of the General Directorate of Security and the Ankara Provincial Police, arrest warrants were issued for 119 suspects.
While 93 suspects were arrested, 29 of the 30 suspects were apprehended by the on-duty criminal justice judge, and one suspect was placed under judicial supervision.
Efforts to apprehend fugitive suspects continue, and the investigation is being conducted by four public prosecutors under the supervision of the Chief Deputy Public Prosecutor.
In a statement issued yesterday by the Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that 92 suspects had been arrested and 32 others detained as part of the investigation.
