Abdullah Emre Güner stated in his statement on his social media account that Edip Akbayram, one of the country’s prominent artists, passed away.
That was despite all the medical interventions at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, where he had been treated for about two months.
Güner said: “The most advanced care and treatment was provided to him by our medical teams, but unfortunately he could not be saved despite all the efforts.
May God have mercy on the deceased, and I offer my condolences to his family, loved ones and the artistic community.”
Edip Akbayram, who was treated at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital of the University of Health Sciences on January 9 for suspected internal bleeding as a result of falling from the bed, underwent surgery on January 10.
